To all who read and subscribe here,
I’ve been absent from Substack and other platforms for the last month to focus all of my attention on my forthcoming book. Having finished the second draft I’m excited to have some additional bandwidth to dive back into this platform in particular.
Moving forward it is my intention to write at least 3 articles/month on Substack. The goal is for those to be a bit more substantive in terms of practical takeaways. While I do enjoy waxing poetic, what I’m hoping to provide here is not only a shift in the standard perspectives available on health and performance but also more actionable ways to interact with the ideas presented and well, me.
I’ve taken a liking to Substack and an equal and opposite dislike for other platforms. Here I feel there are more options for me to develop as a professional and more importantly to interact with you, the audience, with far more decorum than is currently acceptable on other platforms.
Here are my plans thus far:
Continue to release short articles that are under ten minutes a piece that are editorial in nature. The purpose with these is to work out my own ideas and hopefully offer something interesting enough to spur discussion.
Release multi-part articles that dive into more detail about things I’m actually work on or people I’m working with. To that effect I’m going to release a three part series on conscious breathing very soon.
Regular Personal Health Experiments. Both my own, like the current one I’m doing on VO2max found HERE, as well as future experiments and explorations you can get involved in too.
Additionally, live video and a limited series of podcasts have definitely crossed my mind as well.
If you have any ideas based on the work you’ve seen here in regards to topics you want me to cover or ideas you want to explore, let me have it!
Thanks for reading,
Rob
